The week before spring break, First Flight Elementary School students and staff came together to celebrate World Kindness Day on April 1 with a colorful and meaningful activity.
Inspired by the quote, “Be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud” by Maya Angelou, the school created a human rainbow as a symbol of kindness and unity. Each grade level wore a different color to represent the colors of the rainbow, while staff members wore white to form the clouds.
The special moment was captured from above by First Flight High School junior Sam Summerton, who used a drone to photograph the formation. The result was a beautiful visual reminder of the power of kindness and community.
